After a pause last year, the Biblio is returning this year and is now open! We created this prize in 2009, and it has evolved over the past 17 years to what it is now - a fun visual celebration of Australian (and New Zealand) literature. It also serves to strengthen ties between our artists and writers. It's also just a lot of fun.
On entering the prize, artists are allocated a book title to read and which will become their inspiration for an art piece. A selection of works from the completed submissions will make up our summer exhibition. All artists are welcome to enter, emerging or professional, using any medium. And this year we've taken away the size restrictions. You can enter as many works as you like using the same title, or you can enter more than once for more titles. The entry fees go into the prize pool, and to administration costs.
Please share with any creatives you think would be interested. Follow the links on our website to the Biblio Art Prize info / tix, or click HERE to go directly to the entry form.
