With the end of February also comes the end of the Biblio Art Prize for another year! It's been a tremendous summer with so many visitors coming just to view the exhibition, which is really lovely to see. We are going to tally up the People's Choice votes this week and announce the winner at the end of the week. The winner of the Rainbow Prize will also be selected and announced. As far as packup goes, people are free to collect their purchased works, or pick up their unsold artwork, any time from here on. It's a bit of a task packing up this show, so if we can make it easier on everyone, we will.

NEXT weekend we have a couple of delectable offerings for you! We have on Friday, 23 February, the French Cooking Academy coming here to discuss their brand new book and to answer all your tricky French-cookery questions! This is a free event, with nibbles, and wines at bar prices. You can book via our events page.

And then on Sunday, 25th of February, The Deserters are playing on our stage for a Sunday session! They are being supported by our very own Oriel Glennen, and I strongly suggest you book your tickets right now. This will be a fantastic event. (Bookings via our events page. It'll take you to their booking site.)

Next up for the Blarney exhibition space are two concurrent, world-embracing exhibitions which will run throughout March:

Melbourne artist Jane Farnan is bringing us Ink Lines. This will be an exhibition of inked artworks inspired by Jane's travels in Japan and South Korea.

AND Ararat artist and this year's Biblio Art Grand Prize winner, Geoff Todd is bringing us Oceans to Alexandria.

We can guarantee that each of these exhibitions will carry you away from Port Fairy and take you to another time and place. There's no official opening for the combined show, but there will be days where you can meet the artists. (Stay tuned.)

Speaking of March, that's also our special Folkie time. Once again, the Port Fairy Folk Festival is bringing a wonderful line-up of events to be held as part of the Village Program at Blarney Books & Art. To say we're excited is understating it a little...
