About the event
Richard Walter is a much-loved local poet, author and artist. He published and released his collection of poetry "Odd Fellows" in 2020. We'll hear Richard discuss with fellow author Jock Serong what it means to be a productive Port Fairy poet publishing in a pandemic. This will be followed with a short break - some refreshments and a (Covid-safe) mingle - before the next session.
In his freshly published book, "Grimmish", award-winning writer Michael Winkler braids the real life story of Italian-American boxer Joe Grimm as he toured Australia in 1908-9. At its heart, this work is a meditation on pain, masculinity and vulnerability (complete with questionable jokes). It has been referred to as a "haymaker of experimental non-fiction". Michael will be in conversation with fellow author/crime writer/artist/flaneur Robert Gott.
Free event, with free refreshments - but bookings absolutely necessary (help us stay Covid-safe and open).
