About the event

Salt and Skin by Eliza Henry-Jones - a haunting and evocative mystery set on a remote Scottish Island. Drawing on records of the witch trials and folk tales of the northern isles, this novel is full of tenderness, magic and yearning. It's a meditation on the absence of womens' voices and stories in history, and the unexpected ways that sites of long-ago trauma continue to haunt the living.

Eliza is an author, PhD candidate and flower farmer. She has published four novels with HarperCollins, which have been listed for the ABIA, Indie, CBCA, NSW Premier’s Literary Awards, QLD Literary Awards and Readings Prize for New Australian Fiction. Her work has appeared in place such as Southerly, Island, The Guardian, ABC Organic Gardener, Country Style, The Big Issue, Gardening Australia and The Age. She lives on a little flower farm on Wurundjeri land.
