About the event
Jackie will be a familiar face to many as she is a regular performer at the Port Fairy Festival and a three time winner of Pat Glover Memorial Port Fairy Festival Award.
Come and meet Jackie and be inspired by how many ways a story can be told - using string patterns or paper tearing and folding and experience  the magic of Japanese kamishibai (paper drama).
Her passion is non-fiction; her purpose to deepen the connection children have to nature, to inspire curiosity and wonder. Her most recent release is The Amazing Case of Dr Ward,  Illustrated by Tull Suwannakit. Together they ask: When you bite into a pear, sit under the shade of an elm tree, or smell a rose, do you ever ask yourself: ‘How did these plants come to be in Australia?’
Following the storytelling Jackie will have some activities for those who are keen to stay on for some more fun.
Jackie will have copies of all her books for sale.Â
