About the event

Paul Kildea is an Australian conductor and author. 

In 2013 he released the book, 'Benjamin Britten - A Life in the Twentieth Century'. 

From 2014 until 2016, he was the Artistic Director of the biennial Four Winds Festival in Bermagui between 2014 and 2016. 

2018 saw the launch of his current book, 'Chopin's Piano - A Path through the Romantic Century'. 

Earlier this year he was appointed Artistic Director of Musica Viva Australia.

Monica Curro is a permanent fixture at the MSO, having served there for nearly two decades as Assistant Principal 2nd Violin of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. This year she and pianist/composer partner Stefan Cassomenos are the the Artistic Directors of the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival.

And you have a chance to hear Paul and Monica discuss music and writing at this special event.
