Be transfixed by ancient folk tales and original yarns artfully crafted for contemporary ears; be introduced to the Japanese storytelling box, Kamishibai (paper theatre), the precursor to manga and animation; delight in oral storytelling and the beauty of spoken language.
Jackie is fond of reminding us: Before there were books there were stories, and the stories are connected to the book - like blossom to fruit. She is also an author of non-fiction picture books for children.
