Two amazing women have been given the tough job of selecting a Grand Prize winner or winners from the 2019 Biblio Art Prize exhibition entrants.
Punters, we are very proud to announce and introduce
our guest judges for the 11th year of our competition:
PETA LLOYD and TAMSIEN WEST
Peta Lloyd won the Storyteller's Award for the Biblio Art Prize 2015, and then took out the Grand Prize (with joint winner Penelope Lawry) in 2017. Peta has just held an exhibition titled Omnium Gatherum with fellow Queensland artist Nanette Balchin at Blarney Books & Art over September. And whilst Peta's here for the Biblio Art in December, she will be offering a workshop in mark making on Sunday, 8 December - I'd strongly recommend you book early if you want to secure a place, as it will be a popular event.
You can read more about Peta at her website here.
Tamsien West is well-known for her successful Instagram account Babbling Books - she is a bookish bookstagrammer with a penchant for photography and journalling. Tam has recently hosted a sold out Creative Journalling workshop at Blarney Books & Art. She has been the designated social media reporter at events like the Bendigo Writers Festival and Clunes Booktown. She's a podcaster and Youtuber - she has so much energy and passion for books and writing, it's hard to summarise everything she does!
You can read more about Tam at her website here.
The 2019 exhibition opening and awards night is Saturday, 7 December!
This is another free event - but please register on our events page (for catering purposes) if you are coming along!
