Queer Writes Sessions (QWS) Podcast.

A Words and Nerds Podcast spin off series, hosted by Rob (aka author R.W.R. McDonald) and in partnership with us here at Blarney. It is enormously important to us to show our active support for the rainbow community, especially in the light of the current political climate.

โ€‹

Each month QWS Podcast will interview a LGBTIQA+-identifying writer, as well as review and shout out books and authors from our rainbow communities.

You can listen to each episode via Words and Nerds. You can find more information on Rob and his books, and links to much more, at his website rwrmcdonald.com.

โ€‹

QWS Podcast is recorded on the unceded land of the Wurundjeri people.
We pay our respects to their elders past, present and emerging.

The first episode in this new series - featuring the great Australian novelist, Nigel Featherstone, can be found at the following link:

Queer Writes was founded in 2021 and these were our first two episodies, which were recorded as video for Youtube.

Queer Writes Sessions, in partnership with Blarney Books & Art, is a project brought to us by the fabulous RWR McDonald (author of The Nancys) with the express goals of aiding visibility and celebrating LGBTQIA+ Australian and New Zealandian authors and writers, with a focus on intersectionality, particularly BIPOC and trans authors. We will be presenting a series of conversations between queer writers about books, writing and what fuels their imaginations.
