This weekend has brought us two very different authors with two very different books. The first, on Friday night, was Philomena Manifold who has produced an extraordinary work which, through a magnificent alchemy, combines photography, geology, science and creativity. Having grown up around Camperdown, with much of her young life spent on the beaches nearby, Philomena spoke with Kate Donelan about her passion for the local landscape and its history - and the way land connects us all.

Then on Saturday night, we had a visit from Narrawong author, Maya Linnell, who has just had her first novel published through Allen & Unwin. In an entertaining and eloquent discussion with ABC journalist, Matt Neal, Maya revealed a lot of inspirational detail about her journey from aspiring novelist to publication. She's currently at work on her second novel, which she says will be largely set in Port Fairy - so we look forward to that one too, and inviting her back for another chat!
